Warranties For New Boiler Are You Confused????!!!!!

Boilers can be costly and are a key purchase for your home. When purchasing a boiler, you want to get the best deal. Have you ever thought about the warranty and how that may help extend the life of your new boiler? These days boiler Manufacturers know that customers are looking for the most efficient boilers. These companies are offering longer and longer warranties for customer’s peace of mind. Especially if the installers are accredited manufacturer installers (which most of our engineers are) this means they can offer longer and longer warranties to customers.

As a company from 2016 the first thing that we carry out as part of our after sales for boiler installations, is to register the boiler with the manufacturer for you. So not only do we carry out the legal requirements of registering with Gas Safe, we make sure and check the warranties are correctly registered. After all we installed the boiler. This is peace of mind for us also, if any issues were to arise with the boiler outside our remit, we know that with confidence we can or the customer can contact the manufacturer with no problems. We have found in the past this is a constant issue if there is ever an in warranty claim and the customer has forgotten to register the boiler. Some Manufacturers charge for a warranty to be done if it is not carried out within 30 days of the installation. If the manufacturer knows where and when the boiler was installed then it really helps to smooth the process of getting a service engineer out to fix the issue.

As standard when any boiler is installed it should be carried out by a Gas Safe installer who will follow a code of practice acceptable to the manufacturer of the boiler. With some manufacturer’s this means the system should be cleaned out and chemically protected and a filter fitted to provide constant maintenance on the system. These are all highly recommended options we offer to all of our customers when quoting. These precautions in most cases validate your warranty and ensures that if the boiler goes wrong you are fully covered.

Important note:

But please remember your boiler is like a car, and to keep it under warranty it needs to be serviced every year before the date of installation. We offer an annual reminder service if you provide us with an email upon booking, we will then email you and also call to remind you that the service is due so you won’t forget. Keep your service history with the boiler or in a safe place and be ready to quote the serial number of the boiler and service history if you ever have a problem.
